Cancelation policy

On receipt of a completed booking form and deposit, Big Bike Touring Co Limited will send you an email confirmation which contains details of your reservation and the ‘TOUR FINAL PAYMENT DATE’. The tour must be paid in full no later than 60 days before the date of travel or your reservation will be cancelled with full loss of monies paid to that point. Payment can be made by Credit Card, PayPal or direct bank transfer. Bookings made 60 days or less before departure will be accepted only with full payment or by prior agreement. Only those who have paid in full will be allowed to take part in the tour. On receipt of final balance Big Bike Touring Co Limited will send by email full details of your tour.

Once your tour has been paid in full, Big Bike Touring Co. will immediately secure your motorcycle and proceed with booking and paying for your hotels and other tour arrangements on your behalf.

These bookings involve us committing funds to suppliers specifically for your tour dates. Once these arrangements have been confirmed and paid for, those costs are committed and cannot be recovered by us if you subsequently cancel or change your tour.

For this reason, full payment confirms your final commitment to the tour and allows us to secure all services required for your trip. Our cancellation and refund terms apply once payment has been received.

It is sometimes necessary or unavoidable to change your booking. In the case of any major alteration Big Bike Touring Co Limited will notify you as soon as possible before your departure date. In the event of a significant change, you may continue with the tour, accept an alternative tour or if you decide to cancel your booking then subject to Big Bike Touring Co Limited cancellation fees all monies paid will be refunded. Big Bike Touring Co Limited cannot be held liable for any compensation or expenses arising from the change in your booking. Once the tour has commenced, we reserve the right to alter routes and accommodation at short notice due to circumstances beyond our control. In this situation we will notify you as soon as possible. Where accommodation has to be changed Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd will provide accommodation of at least the same standard.

We reserve the right, in any circumstances, to cancel your booking and will notify you as soon as possible before your departure date and will at this time refund all monies paid. Should the cancellation be due to the minimum number of places not being reached we will offer you a comparable alternative tour or a full refund as per the above.

In the event we cancel your tour due to circumstances beyond our control, i.e., “Force Majeure” events – which include, but are not limited to, war, threat of war, terrorist activity, natural disasters, industrial action, Coronavirus or similar pandemics then no deposit payments will be refunded, or compensation payments made. We will, if possible, endeavor to transfer your booking and any monies paid to a suitable alternative tour. We strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance at time of booking in order to cover any eventuality such as tour cancellation.

If for any reason a participant decides to leave the tour before the end they will not be refunded. Furthermore, Big Bike Touring Co Limited will not be responsible for any associated cost incurred.

In the event that a tour is cancelled or cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond our control — including but not limited to: war, threat of war, terrorist activity, civil unrest, natural disasters (including floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and extreme weather conditions), epidemics or pandemics, government-imposed travel restrictions, road closures, or any other extraordinary event — Big Bike Touring Co Limited will not be liable for any refund of monies paid.
In such cases, Big Bike Touring Co Limited will offer the affected customer a Travel Credit equal to the total amount paid (deposit and/or full balance), valid for 6 months from the original tour departure date. The Travel Credit may be applied toward the same tour or a tour of equivalent or greater value offered by Big Bike Touring Co Limited.
Should the customer be unable to travel within the 6-month credit period, Big Bike Touring Co Limited may, at its sole discretion, offer a one-time extension of the credit validity. No cash refund will be issued under any circumstance in relation to a Force Majeure event.
The determination of whether an event constitutes a Force Majeure circumstance rests solely with Big Bike Touring Co Limited. We strongly recommend that all customers purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking to cover cancellation, curtailment, and any other unforeseen circumstances.
