Day 9 Chiang Rai/ Mai Ai/ Fang (109 Km)
Day 9 unfolds with a 109-kilometer journey from Chiang Rai to Mae Ai and Fang, promising riders a blend of scenic beauty and cultural exploration. After a delightful breakfast, our path takes us northwest to the captivating Mae Fa Luang region, renowned for its tea plantations.
As the wheels turn, immerse yourself in the breathtaking views of the valley and discover picturesque viewpoints that add a touch of magic to the ride. A highlight of the day includes a visit to the Tea Plantations, where the air is infused with the aroma of freshly brewed tea and the landscape is adorned with lush greenery.
For lunch, we may have the opportunity to venture to the charming Chinese Village of Ban Rak Thai by the lake (48 kilometers in and out). Please note that the availability of this route depends on the authorities, as the road may occasionally be closed due to security reasons related to drug smuggling.
Continuing our westward journey, we arrive at the beautiful town of Fang, our overnight stop. If time permits, we may explore the soothing Hot Springs in Fang, adding a touch of relaxation to the day’s adventures.
Day 9 is a tale of tea-scented breezes, valley views, and the occasional glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry of Ban Rak Thai. Day 10 – Fang to Pai ( 232 Km )
More great winding roads on our way to Chiang Dao Caves ( Wat Tham) Chiang Dao. Next, we carry on heading South to Air Dimond Park for our lunch stop Then the fun begins as we head on the 1095 to Pai, this is the start of the famous May Hong Song loop 1864 cures. Pai is described as The Woodstock of Thailand, lots of fun bar and restaurants, walking street is where all the fun begins. As the night draws in we head back to our hotel.

Day 11 – Pai to Mae Hong Son (111 Km)

Day 12 . Mae Hong Son to Chiang Mai (323 Km)
Day 12 marks the final leg of our incredible 12-day journey as we cover 323 kilometers from Mae Hong Son back to Chiang Mai. Although the road is long, the day promises remarkable encounters and a return journey through the stunning landscapes of Northern Thailand.
Our first stop is the Huay Pu Keng Village, a unique destination where we have the privilege of meeting the long-necked ladies. Witnessing their way of life, adorned with intricate brass rings around their necks, is a truly remarkable and culturally rich experience. Take the time to absorb the unique beauty of this village before we embark on the final stretch.
The road back home takes us through familiar terrain, passing through Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand. As we navigate the roads, reflecting on the adventures of the past 11 days, the journey becomes a fusion of nostalgia and anticipation for the comfort of Chiang Mai.

Our motorcycles are fully covered by third party insurance, however we strongly recommend that you have your own health insurance in place before you arrive in Thailand. Make sure it covers you for Motorbike riding activities.

You do not have to share, every rider has their own private room.

Our following support/recovery truck carries a spare bike so you will be swiftly back on the road.
When touring it is always best to travel as light as possible, we have 40 litre waterproof bags which stay on our support truck on extensive tours. All bikes have side panniers for additional storage.
If you’re flying from overseas, we suggest you arrive a few days before the tour to help you shake off any ill effects of jet lag.
They serve breakfast at the hotel and this normally comprises several options. Lunch is a light roadside lunch, for dinner options we always endeavor to find a restaurant that offers both Thai and International cuisine.
Yes, this is mandatory on our tours, for safety and time keeping. We operate a lead and last policy, each rider will take turns to be the ‘sweeper’ bike at the rear of the pack and notify the lead guide bike of any problems/issues.
