Start the fresh morning ride out of Chiang Mai town on the easy back road. About 70 km. we will arrived at the foot-hill of the Himalayan mountain range and start to climb up to the Roof of Thailand – Doi Inthanon national park which is the highest point of Thailand. Continue winding road down to Mae Chaem district visit Bo keao pine tree garden research center for a nice coffee in the pine tree garden. In the evening you will arrive at Mae Sa riang district a charming little town near Myanmar border. Mae Sariang represents the westernmost area where Lanna culture and architecture dominated which also well assimilated with Burmese/ Shan. Overnight in Mae Sarieng
In the morning we have a chance to offering food to the monk, Thai Buddhists believe that making merit – good karma – through giving can giving you a luck and good life. After that follow the curved, twisty and switch-back mountain road all the way to Mae Hong Son. Visit the Karen Longneck village which is one of the highlights of this trip. Along the way, there are some viewpoints with beautiful mountain scenery which we need to visit before we get a curve-sick from riding. Our destination of today is Pai, A picturesque town with the scenic Pai River running through the eastern part of town. There are plenty of evening bars and cafes to choose from. Overnight in Pai
Post breakfast we set off to cover approx. 200km to the ancient city of Chiang Mai, lots to see and lots of road to cover today on this fantastic route. Someone could have almost specifically made the roads for touring bikes, the route features a plethora of twists and turns and changes in elevation. Motorcycling “Nirvana” some would say. Our journey will pass through or close to several National Park’s before arriving into the ancient Siamese walled city of Chiang Mai, late afternoon.
Our overnight quality hotel awaits us with a relaxing dinner.
