Early morning sees a brief tour induction and motorcycle orientation undertaken at company HQ “Route 66 Pattaya”. Once completed it’s time to hit the road. Initially, the tour sweeps south, swiftly clearing the bustling city of Pattaya and out into the open countryside.
Our first stop is Silver Lake and the very famous Buddha Mountain for an introduction to local culture in addition to great photo opportunities.
Next the tour heads East to traverse Dok Rai lake. Having exited the lake we stop for a short coffee break in an open prison set out in stunning grounds which doubles as a coffee shop stop-open zoo completely manned by prison inmates who are at the end of their sentences.
Coffee stop over we head South to the coast via Ban Khai riding through picturesque mountains until we get to our lunch destination at the `ThreeTrees` restaurant which is situated directly on the beach adjacent to the Rayong coastal road.
After topping up with fuel the tour hugs the coast line stopping at the Noen Nangphaya viewpoint before finally arriving at our overnight accommodation in Trat Province.
The tour party starts the day with an enjoyable breakfast and then “Get ready to ride”. Our second day sees the tour head to the narrowest geographical point in Kingdom of Thailand. Continuing to cruise South we reach Cham Yeam on the Thai - Cambodian border.
Following photo opportunities we reset the compass as the tour heads northwest towards Chantaburi in readiness to board a 40 minute ferry across to the Island of Koh Chang. On dis embarkation the tour takes lunch and then proceeds on to explore the island before checking into our beach side overnight accommodation.
Island life on Koh Chang begins early and is conducted at a very leisurely pace. Post breakfast sees the tour head back to the ferry port as we make our way back to the main land. Once disembarked the tour heads North to Phlio water fall situated in the Namtok Philo national park.
Late morning sees the tour once again mount the bikes as we continue to make our way North towards Chonburi. Post lunch sees some cross country riding as we aim to capture the feel of the Thai countryside on secluded scenic roads.
Late afternoon sees the tour return to HQ @ Route 66 Pattaya.
