Journey Through Time and Culture: Thailand to Cambodia Motorcycle Tour

Embarking on the Thailand to Cambodia motorcycle tour with Big Bike Touring Co is an immersive odyssey that promises an extraordinary blend of adventure, cultural exploration, and the raw beauty of Southeast Asia. As the official BMW Motorrad partner in Thailand, Big Bike Touring Co ensures an exceptional riding experience. The journey kicks off from the Route 66 Diner in bustling Pattaya, where riders receive a warm welcome and a quick bike familiarization. Leaving the urban landscape behind, the route winds eastward, revealing the picturesque rural charm of Thailand. Passing through Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat provinces, riders are treated to stunning coastal views before reaching a splendid beach resort for a well-deserved overnight stay.

The second day marks a transition into Cambodia, with an early start leading to a smooth border crossing. Local Cambodian tour guides join the expedition, guiding riders through the countryside. The highway to Phnom Penh unfolds as a captivating ride, offering numerous photo opportunities and a glimpse into Cambodia’s rural culture. An evening arrival at a riverside hotel near the Mekong River sets the stage for further exploration.

Phnom Penh, a city rich in history, becomes the focus on the third day. French colonial remnants line wide boulevards, creating a unique backdrop for visits to the poignant Killing Fields Museum and S21 Torture Prison. These historical sites provide a deeper understanding of Cambodia’s past. The day concludes with an evening stroll along the river embankment, reflecting on the city’s resilience.

The fourth day propels riders northward to Siem Reap, the heart of Cambodia’s archaeological treasures. Covering 320 km, the journey offers breathtaking views as it skirts the Tonlé Sap freshwater lake and river tributaries. Siem Reap, crowned the ASEAN City of Culture, awaits exploration, with the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat dating back to the 12th century. Whether delving into ancient temples, cultural villages, or local markets, riders are guaranteed a day filled with unforgettable experiences.

The tour takes a scenic turn on the sixth day, heading back to Thailand through the Cambodian-Thai border at Chong Chom. The Chang International Circuit in Buriram becomes a highlight, offering riders a chance to explore Thailand’s Moto GP racing scene. The journey continues to Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its diverse landscapes and untouched jungles. Riders enjoy a rest day to explore the park’s hidden waterfalls and forested glades before heading to Kabinburi for a farewell dinner.

As the tour draws to a close, riders savor the final leg – a 170 km ride back to Route 66 Diner in Pattaya. The Thailand to Cambodia motorcycle tour by Big Bike Touring Co is a captivating exploration of culture, history, and the untamed beauty of Southeast Asia, creating a tapestry of memories for riders to cherish.

Each tour member will have own private room on each of our night stops at a min 3* or 4* hotel.

I had a great time...

I had a great time. I liked the variety of activities that we did. I thought it was great I could choose my preferred bike, the Kawasaki Versys. For me this was important because I have the Versys at home as well. The food was good, and we had lots of it. The accommodation was cozy and comfortable. Everything was well organized.''

I have been on many...

I have been on many tours throughout Asia and this was one of the best! Cambodia is a beautiful country, and the guide was fantastic – knowledgeable, kind, patient, with a sense of humour. The accommodation was good and the food was very nice. I loved getting to visit all those little villages etc. I would go back in a flash!

My wife and I had...

My wife and I had the pleasure of joining the tour with our friend who was visiting from Holland. We were looking at getting a group together and go on tour in Cambodia. However, we could not find anything available on our time frame. This is when we found Big Bike Tours website. They had a trip departing on the date we wanted! We were able to customize the trip to our liking (i.e.: hotels, meals, itinerary). The prices were reasonable. So we booked it

The 10 days Cambodia tour...

The 10 days Cambodia tour was amazing and I enjoyed myself so much. I particularly liked the mix of stops - some riding, some exploring, some chilling out. The food was fantastic and the guides were great. I had a great time and would recommend this tour to others.

Andrew

My husband and I had...

My husband and I had a fantastic time with the 10 day Cambodia tour organized by Asia Bike Tours. We were on a group tour that accommodated all types of riders; from beginners to experienced. The guides were excellent and an added bonus was the fact that they served as mechanics. Our bikes were well maintained and we were able to cover a great deal of ground in a short period of time.

Paul

I just want to say thank you...

I just want to say thank you for an amazing trip. It was one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had. The 10 days we spent with you and our new friends were fantastic. You are a very good tour guide and your knowledge of Cambodia is amazing. You have combined everything into a very good tour. I enjoyed it all so much and will remember you all as friends and the bike ride is just a bonus.

Steven

The tour was great with...

The tour was great with excellent service from the guides, drivers and support crew. The hotels were all good or better and the food was very good. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking to ride in Cambodia.

Donald

The entire experience was nothing...

The entire experience was nothing short of awe inspiring and extremely memorable. The guides were experienced, caring and very knowledgeable. The roads chosen for the tour were well maintained, breathtaking and mostly empty.

Mark

I have been on 2 tours...

I have been on 2 tours with BigBikeTouring and this one was the best, mostly because of the route and the choice of hotels. The roads were a little bumpy at times but that is to be expected and it was all good fun. With only 4 people on the tour, there was plenty of space on the bikes and plenty of time to stop for photos.

Anthony

We can't wait to come back...

We can't wait to come back and do another tour with you both. We've done a number of Big Bike bike tours in Asia and this was by far the best! Well organised, well planned and excellent guides and beautiful scenery (as always).

Matthew

I have just returned from...

I have just returned from the 10 day Thai and Cambodian Adventure tour and I wanted to say how much I enjoyed it. The itinerary was excellent, the bikes were in excellent condition and the support was second to none. It was my first big bike tour, but I would recommend it highly as a way to see a different side of Cambodia.

Daniel

I have just returned from...

I have just returned from a trip to Cambodia with the big bikes. This was my first tour, so I had no idea what to expect. The whole experience was brilliant, and exceeded all expectations. The guides were excellent, and the bikes were in perfect condition. The hotels too were superb, and the food was great. In short, this was an amazing adventure! We made a group of 5 and we had lot of fun together. I will not lose contact wioth you guys.

It was a fantastic experience...

It was a fantastic experience. Wonderful itinerary, most of which will be done on primarily country roads with some freeway and city sections included. This is not for novices. Perhaps you might attempt a shorter excursion. Trained advisers, great assistance, contemporary equipment, And a few little things that bothered me with my BMW F800GS, but which our guide and mechanic solved. Deluxe-quality hotels with a similarly wide range of options in meals. Amazing tour. An essential choice.
